Puronics® IRONMAX™ iGEN® internal system components


The manganese greensand deposit is exposed to oxygen from the outside air injected into the unit during regeneration, which activates the unit’s oxidation capacity.

Thus, iron, manganese and sulfides are oxidized into precipitated particles without the use of chemicals.


Iron, manganese and sulfide precipitates are filtered and removed from the water by backwashing and regeneration of the media bed.
